About Us
Main Objectives:
• revival of Belarus as an independent state, Homeland for
all the Belarusans of the world, consolidation of the Belarusans
as a nation equal among other equal nations in the world community,
the cultivation of the Belarusan national consciousness, care
of spiritual and physical preservation of the Belarusan nation;
• contribution to the growth of the Belarusans’ esteem to their
history, culture and language, their love to Homeland;
• spiritual, organizational and economic banding into one community
of all the Belarusans who live abroad and at home, preservation
and strengthening of their feeling of being Belarusan;
• promotion of friendship with other nations, mutual interest,
studies of the history and culture of the countries where the
Belarusans live, the cultivation of respect to other nations
who live together with the Belarusans in Belarus;
Chief Duties:
• creation of constant cultural, economic, spiritual, organizational
and other cooperation between Belarusan Diaspora in the world
and Belarus;
• rendering of help to the Belarusans in other countries in
organization and support of their national cultural life, in
defence of their rights as a national minority in other countries,
satisfaction of their cultural and informational needs;
• support of scientific researches on the Belarusan studies,
Belarusan Diaspora’s achievements in the national culture development,
the Belarusans’ cultural dealings with other nations;
• activation of the activities of the Belarusans abroad, as
well as the whole world community, concerning fighting the aftermath
of the Chernobyl catastrophe and settling Belarus’s other key
issues, participation in carrying out these activities;
• promotion of the spiritual interchange and mutual enrichment
between nations, improvement of economic contacts and cooperation
between Belarus and other countries of the world; strengthening
of the economic base of the Republic of Belarus by attracting
the foreign investments and newest technologies into Belarus’s
economy;
• rendering of help to the Belarusans abroad who happen to be
in the war zones, massive human rights abuse situations, as
well as in those of natural catastrophes and other extreme occurrences;
• improvement of thorough connections with public, religious
and other organizations and private citizens of foreign countries
to reach the organization’s main objectives;
• charity activities;
Membership of the IPS BWA Backauscyna
Members of the IPS BWA Backauscyna can be the Belarusans, as
well as representatives of other nations who consider themselves
Belarusans regardless of their nationality.
Children and youth organizations which members are at least
18 years old, can work under the aegis of the IPS BWA Backauscyna
and have all the rights but to elect and be elected in the ruling
organs of the IPS BWA Backauscyna.
In order to become a member of the IPS BWA Backauscyna, it
is necessary to submit a written application (or to fill out
and sign a registration card) to the IPS BWA Backauscyna’s Directorate
or that of the local branch.
The IPS BWA Backauscyna’s members have the right:
• to nominate representatives, elect and be elected to the
ruling and other organs of the IPS BWA Backauscyna;
• to receive the information about the IPS BWA Backauscyna’s
activities and its elective organs;
• to contribute suggestions on betterment of the IPS BWA Backauscyna’s
activities;
• to pay voluntary contributions;
• to work in the regional organizations and participate in all
the activities of the IPS BWA Backauscyna;
• to use the IPS BWA Backauscyna’s moral and material support;
• to discontinue their membership in the IPS BWA Backauscyna;
The IPS BWA Backauscyna’s members must:
• obey to this Statute’s requirements;
• behave and act according to the main objectives and chief
duties of the IPS BWA Backauscyna;
Membership of the IPS BWA Backauscyna can be discontinued according
to a person’s own free will or because of infraction of this
Statute pursuant to the decision of the IPS BWA Backauscyna’s
Directorate or the ruling organ of the local organization. If
the IPS BWA Backauscyna’s member dissents from an exclusion
decision, he/she can appeal to the higher ruling organs of the
IPS BWA Backauscyna, including the Vialikaja Rada (Supreme Council).
The title of Honoured Member of the IPS BWA Backauscyna is bestowed
by a decision of the Malaja Rada (Small Council) advised by
the IPS BWA Backauscyna’s Directorate, to the well-known national
figures for their eminence in serving the Belarusan people in
the field of culture, social life, economics, science and activities
in Belarus’s national revival.
If a person leaves or is expelled from the IPS BWA Backauscyna,
his/her voluntary contributions are not refunded.
